Balance Sheet

This query is : Resolved

17 September 2010 Dear friends,

I ddn't get a satisfactory answer till now for the following,

If the companies can follow both vertical form and horizondal form of balance sheet as per Companies Act, why all the companies are using vertical form for their reporting purpose ????

With regards

Sreekumar

17 September 2010 As per schedule VI , both form Vertical and horizental is allowed for Balance Sheet .
In Vertical form , there is good presentation of current year data with comparative year data , hence vertical form is used by company.

Dear Sree you need to observe the real balance sheet to feel the difference in presentation. Otherwise it would be very difficult for anyone to make you understand.

Vertical form is good for comparison and presentation.

Thanks
