23 July 2012 I have already given my cpt and is preparing for ipcc.I have a doubt whether to pursue b.com from DU(SOL) or ignou(b.comA&F,special programme for CA students.).IS the b.com degree given by ignou recognized by iims and for giving any other exams after CA or not.also i would like to know how % of marks is calculated in ignou.i do not know whether it is true or not,but i have heard that it is not possible to get Ist division from DU as the examinations of correspondence students are strictly checked.is it true or false?

25 July 2012 Yes the B.Com (A&F) is recognized as the B.Com degree from any other distance learning university. N u shud go for IGNOU B.com as it has more knowledge value.
DU correspandence students usually dont get gud marks they hardly score 55% by well studies n hard work.
IGNOU is much better in exam point of view as the assignments marks n final exam marks are counted for final marksheet n if u sudy well n write well in exams u can definitely score around 60-65% marks.
U can definitely go for IGNOU B.Com n after B.Com u can go for MBA in finance from IGNOU itself or from Symbiosis,Pune distance learning. it wl best suit ur profile with CA.
