23 June 2015 Dear Sir,
LUT (UT-1) is basically the legal undertaking which filed with the jurisdictional AC/DC of Excise for removal of excisable goods without payment of excise duty for export.
B1- bond is the surety or security bond which an manufacturer exporter executes for export of excisable goods without payment of excise duty.
Both the LUT and the B1 Bond are under rule 19 of Central Excise Rules, 2002.
The manufactuer exporter can execute both LUT or B1 or any one amongst two.

with this instrument(UT-1)Manufacturer only do the Direct Export shipments

with the B1 bond Manufacturer can do direct of indirect both type of Export shipments

Manufacturer Exporter should choose the UT-1 facility
