04 October 2013 I have applied for transfer of articleship in August. Till now I have not received the approval. On calling the ICAI Vishwas nagar office, I got to know that August applications are not yet forwarded to head office. How much time does it generally take for the receipt of approval?

It is an internal process of ICAI. So giving the exact date is not possible, but they will take minimum 30 to 45 days for the same.

I will suggest you to wait for few days there after you can contact to the Institute.
