Please clear whether ITC is availbe on insurance , repairs & maintenance of private car ( Car used by company's director & senior officials )????

ITC is not available on repair insurance etc , even use for official purposes .

Through CGST Amendment Act 2018, the law on this point has been amended by inserting clause (ab) to Sec. 17(5)
The new clause is that ITC in respect of services of general insurance, servicing, repair and maintenance related to a motor vehicle is now specifically in the blocked credit category

18 January 2019 ITC not available in this case. As per the new amendment, ITC on motor vehicles having seating capacity less than 13 and its related general insurance, repairs and maintenance is not available. For other vehicles, you can take ITC on general insurance, repairs and maintenance.
