Automatic saving as Excel 97-2003 workbook(*.xls)

This query is : Resolved

05 September 2009 I am using Excel 2007 . Everytime I save the workbook I want excel to save the workbook as Excel 97-2003 workbook(*.xls) by default. How can I do this? Which settings I need to change.

Thanks

05 September 2009 Just select Excel 97-2003 from adress box and save it. When you open it again it will save as 97-2003 only :)

11 September 2009 Hey there is a way you can command excel 2007 to save every time in 2003 format only. Just select excel options from the office button on the top most left corner when you open any excel file. Go to save. Now select "Save files in this format" and select excel 2003 work book from the drop down menu. Bingo! now on everytime it will be saved in .xls format whenever you hit crtl+s

12 September 2009 Thank you very much
