Audited balance sheet contains fraud

23 July 2013 Dear sir,
If an audited balancesheet contains fraud, can we restate figures in it and what is the liability of ca when he is not aware of the fraud and conducted test check basis vouching and erformed closing audit....
company is a listed company and balancesheet is already sent to sebi, roc etc

23 July 2013 no you cannot restate figure of audit report
pls tell the audiors and then auditor issue revised audit report with your above fraud

23 July 2013 as per companies act section 215 it says a balancesheet adopted in agm can not be reopened in any case for correction
