My CA who audited my balance sheet for e-filing (from last 8 years) ceased his services from 30.10.2014 and he did not send me the audit report for e-filing for this a.y. Now the due date has been lapsed and I want to appoint new CA for aforesaid audit again, can I do so ? and if not, then can I obliged my earlier CA to send me the audit reports.

if there was an engagement for his to give u tax audit report duly filed by him for this year then u should ask him to give else threated him to complain reagrding this to icai- disciplinary commitee else hire a new ca and do all from new

Dear Ananymous,
Please understand one thing VERY clearly.
To get the accounts audited is the RESPONSIBILITY of assessee and not the CA.
Every year is a NEW year. For lst 8 years some CA has been doing it does NOT mean that the CA knows it for sure that you are laible for tax audit this year as well.
Did you make it a point to inform him that your accounts are required to be audited? Or you simply took CA for GRANTED?
