What is assessment year and financial year in salestax,
And whether the meaning or purpose of it varies from state to state

no the ay and fy is same for all states also as that in income tax act

If A.Y and F.Y is same for Sales Tax then why Assessment is used seperately.

how ay and fy can be same suppose if fy is 14-15 then ay is always 1 year +fy = 15-16

AS PER SALES TAX ACT IN HARYANA THIS THE SAME f y AND ay. IT IS DIFF DUE TO EVERY STATE HAVE HIS OWN VAT ACT AND RATE OF VAT IS ALSO DIFF.
FOR THAT GOVT WANT TO APPLY GST.
