29 September 2014 I am a have been a Retired Govt. officer getting pension from Govt .During FY 2013-14.I did cosutancy worth 5.00 lacs. I filed ITR 4 .As per CPC call center states shows received .I my openion the status should under processing.At which state the ITR are selected for scrutiny. How much more time the CPC will take for processing THAKS

30 September 2014 assuming you filed the return on or before 31 March 2014, notice can only be issued till 30 September 2014 for assessment under 143(3).

02 October 2014 ok. well in this case...the processing of return section 143(1) can be done till 31 March 2016. However, notice under 143(2) can be issued only upto 30 september 2015.
