payal,if shares are issued in the scheme of amalgamation in the nature of merger ,then you have to consider full time period in that year,irrespective of the period when merger has taken place.
Like,if shares are issued on 1.8.2013,then also you have to consider these shares for whole 12months instead of computing its balance period
