In case of investment in subsidiary, if the networth of the subsidiary is nil or negative what is the value of investment?

As u have the investment in the subsidiary & it is shown under the long term investment. therefore as per the as-13 in case if there is a permanent dimulation in the value of long term investment.we should recognised the loss by reducing the value of the investment.if this nil/negative is temporary then u r not required to do so. but it appears thet its a permanent dimulation therefore u should recognised the loss.
