26 September 2014 consolidated price referred to in AS 10 means where you buy several assets without apportioning prices to individual assets.

For eg: you buy 10 trucks of different types at Rs 1 cr consolidated price. Now you dont know what is the price of truck and you cannot apportion Rs 10 lakh each as each truck is different. In such cases AS 10 suggest that the the cost should be apportioned on a fair basis as determined by a competent valuer.
