Articleship transfer in second year

This query is : Resolved

04 June 2016 I am a student from Guwahati, Assam and have been doing my articleship at a local firm in guwahati itself. Now that i have completed my graduation I wanted to move to Mumbai to do my articleship in a big firm to get the experience and exposure gained from working in a big firm and living in a big city. I am currently in my second year of articleship and wanted to know whether transfers are allowed in this kind of situation?

04 June 2016 No this is not a valid reason for transfer however you may explain your wish to ICAI seeking permission for transfer along with your current boss recommendation/no objection for your transfer. if ICAI permits you may allowed to take transfer.

Before taking transfer make sure you will get articleship in big firm you desired to work.Because generally big firms wont accept transfer case students generally
