Articleship transfer after completion of 1 year on medical grounds

11 May 2014 I have completed 1 year and 8 months of articleship. Now I need to take transfer on medical grounds as I am suffering from complete Ligament tear in my leg ankle and cannot walk properly. Shall l have to take prior permission from ICAI before terminating my articleship agreement with my present principal ? My present principal have no issues of my tranafer. If prior permission is needed from ICAI, what is the procedure and how much time will it take ?

11 May 2014 1. yes you, need prior ICAI permission before submission of Form 109.

2. Mutual consent is not a factor here.

3. ICAI takes its own time atleast 3-4 weeks.
