16 June 2014 Can a Principal terminate article's articleship without his consent?

Actually a student took registration under me as article assistant but after one week he stopped coming to office and started avoiding phone calls.

Now he is not traceable, so can I terminate his articleship on my own?

If yes then how ?

16 June 2014 the ans is yes allowed as u need to intimate icai via a letter narrating the same and they will guide u futher.

16 June 2014 you need to lodge complaint with ICAI under regulation 66 of ICAI regulations 1988.

only after investigations by the executive committee of ICAI, action can be taken against article including termination of articleship
