Articleship re-registration

22 June 2013 Hello Sir,

I took termination for my articleship after 1 year & as per procedures I applied for articleship transfer permission from ICAI. I got the permission for tranfer in June 13. My previous employer gave me the terminated date as on 2/3/2013. I have started my articleship in Bangalore from 8/3/2013. I have already submitted the form 109 for termination to the institute mentioning the terminated date as 2/3/2013. Now can I re-register myself with the date effective from 8/3/2013? I have not yet re-registered for my articleship because I got the approval for termination in June. Now I am applying for re-registration. Can u please tell me the effective date of articleship, will it be 08/03/2013 or the date of submitting the re registration form. Please tell me the procedure for re registration and any other procedures to be followed?

It will be the date of commencment of article ship. You mentioned the date 08/03/2013, because you have started article ship on that date.

RE-REGISTRATION OF ARTICLES ………..REGULATION 46 (6), 57 & 58)
On termination of articles prior to completion of 3 years, a student is required to re-register himself with another Principal for the remaining period of the practical training.
Requirements:
1. In the event of re-registration, the student is required to submit the re-registration papers i.e. Form 103 so as to reach to the Institute's office within 30 days from the date of commencement of articled training.
2. A service certificate in Form No. 109 alongwith training report as specified in the Training Guide.
3. The deed of articles is required to be executed in Form No. 102 on a non-judicial stamp paper of the value applicable in the City / State where the employer is practising. The original deed has to be retained by the Principal and a copy with the student.
4. Where the Student / Principal is not able to submit the papers within 30 days and requires that the delay in submission of the papers may be condoned by the Council, they are required to submit the following document alongwith levy fees as fixed by the Council:

i. Original Deed of articles duly executed on a non-judicial stamp paper.
ii. Work diary from the period of date of commencement to the date of submission of papers.
iii. Attendance Record for the aforesaid period.
iv. Stipend details in the form of Bank Pass-Book or Bank Statement.
No registration fee is payable on re-registration except the payment of 2 nd installment of tuition fee if becomes due and payable.
In case the articled clerk has availed of any leave in excess of his entitlement, he should serve such excess leave period after completion of three years of articleship either under the same Principal as supplementary articles or under another Principal.

2)this is date when you have joined articleship under another ca

3)you made a mistake..see as and when you got the permission from icai for transfer of articleship you can send form 109,

4)you can also send form 103 for re-registration for articleship because you have already got permission for transfer of articleship so icai will approves your transfer definetely

5)dont wait for icai approval it may or may not come

6)you sned your form 103 and a xerox copy of form 109 and a copy of icai approval for your transfer and with some covering leter saying i am waiting for icai approval for my transfer confirmation as it is too late i am sending now..

7)you may also contact icai nearest regional branch at your conviniance

8)send form 103 as i said above asap
