06 January 2015 I'm in my first year of articleship and i've to travel for an internal audit everyday.

My question here is -
The place of audit is 2 hr , 30 mins from the office of my CA.... so daily i start from my house at 7.30 a.m... reach office at 8 a.m..
then reach client's place at 10.30 a.m...

work in client's place from 10.30 to 5... then reach my ca office at 7.30 pm and reach home finally at 8 pm...

so office to office reporting is 8 am to 7.30 pm.... which includes 11 hr 30 mins,....

can i claim this 4 hr 30 mins as credit for excess hours worked or not ( 11 hr 30 - 7 hrs )...

please please reply....

07 January 2015 If it is on temparory then only office hour will be counted for the purpose of articleship hour

However, if it on regular basis then you can claim that 11:30 hours, subject to the understanding of your CA.
