Articleship completion

27 April 2019 My CA has given me completion in February, 2019 and signed my Form 108 with a condition that after my exams i have to work with him for 1 year.
He got me to write a letter saying that i will work with him for that period with my signatures.
Could you please let me know the consequences of not working? And will it affect my articleship completion?
