24 March 2008 From where articleship has do be done? How much it matters in future?

24 March 2008 Articleship must be taken under a chartered accountant in practive.It is very useful for your experience as well as your knowledge.Industrial training is very much useful because in this training you get a very vast experience not only academic but also practical.

24 March 2008 Hey where u want to do articleship should depend on various factors such as :
1) What area u want to specialise in Audit or Tax ? u should always look for a firm which suits ur interest.
2) What flexibility u r looking for in a C.A firm for studies, exam leave and for coaching classes .
In Big Firms i don't think that u may get the above flexibilty u want.
3) Quality of work the Firm has and the type of clients the firm handles .
U should always know about the type of work a firm deals with and the clients they deal with.
Never go by the name of the Firm look for the exposure u can get in any firm.
U may feel free to revert back with any of ur queries.

regarding articleship, its very important for your futre because ur sucess would depend upon the practical exp u gained during ur articleship. The practical exposure helps u in clearing ur exams also.
but i would like to say that articleship should be done with a CA who has medium type of repo because with such type of person u get to know every thing. u get to work in each and every type of area. If u work with a very big concern they will put u in one area only and that would be the single point of concentration for u.
moreover big firms do not give u break while ur exams.

Regarding industrial training, yes it is equally important. It helps u in gaining exposure of the industry and if u want to go in job then also its beneficial.
