my friend working in audit firm from 3 years after b.com, he registered for cpt and taking this june exam.my question is after completing ipcc which he has to 3 years of articles which he can get exemption. one girl has worked 2 years in audit firm later she registered for cpt,she cleared her cpt on june 08 and she got exemption of articles and icai gave her permission to write her inter nov 08.so i seen in prospectors also they have mention article or audit assist for pcc.can any one tell me will get exemption for articles......

16 January 2009 Please clarify whether your friend's firm had intimated to ICAI about your friend as audit assistant for those three years. If yes, he will get exemption. Now if they inform it is of no use.
