07 April 2015 HELLO,
My client company has failed to appoint the first auditor within 30 days of incorporation.
Now, the appointment of first auditor by the members at EGM requires special or ordinary resolution?
Does it attract filing of MGT-14?

07 April 2015 yes, MGT-14 is required to file.

20 April 2015 I defer to the view of CA Meetali. You do not need to file Form MGT-14 because appointing an Auditor is an ordinary resolution and it does not require to file Form MGT-14.
