Can we appoint Director instead of Additional Director in Board Meeting or we have to make appointment only in AGM of Private Limited Company.

Yes. If authorized by articles, the Board shall have power to appoint a person as an additional director. Power given to the Board by AOA did not take away the inherent power of the company in General meeting to appoint directors.
