Appointment of auditors

Pl. know me is it mandatory to appoint auditor for 5 financial years as per companies act, 2013 or he can be appointed for 1 year , some companies want to appoint auditor only for 1 year.

As per section 139(1) it is necessary to appoint auditor for 5 years. However this appointment would be subject to rectification by shareholders every year in the AGM.
