01 October 2013 In a Private Company, Can a Director be appointed for specific period after completion of which he/she shall be automatically ceased to be a director? If yes,then what is the procedure?

It will be applicable for director appointed under section 260 of the Companies Act, 1956.

File a Form-32 of such resignation with cessasion letter of director.

01 October 2013 Sir if a nominee director is appointed then can we appoint him for short term/duration?

02 October 2013 Its depend on the terms and conditions agreed between the company and authority who is appointing such nominee director. But in that case also there is no provision of autometic vacation of office.

You will take the resignation letter from that nominee in future at the time of resignation.
