appointing a cfo in a private company

This query is : Resolved

15 May 2009 Can one tell me the procedure to appoint a CFO in a private company? Is it necessary to inform the same to ROC? If yes in which form?

15 May 2009 Hi Deepika,

Appointmnet of CFO in a private company is not a statutory requirement.

But if you want to designate someone as CFO you can do so by simply passing a board resolution. Don’t forget to record the appointment in board meeting minutes.

Since appointmnet of CFO is not a ststutory requirement intimation to ROC is not required.
