23 March 2010 Please tell me what is the last date for applying for membership if a person has passed CA Final in May'09.

I've read somewhere that it is 31st March'10. Is it True?

23 March 2010 I don't think so.
My opinion is that you can apply for memebership any time after completeing the eligibility requirements. However, till that time you are not allowed to represent yourself as the member of the institute.

23 March 2010 No there is no such date, a candidate who has paassed the Exam of CA Final and completed the GMCS as prescribed by the ICAI is elegible for applying for Membership. However, till that time that person is not allowed to represent as ACA.
