24 March 2009 If a company sells a Motor Vehicle to its employee in cash or kind, whether Karnataka VAT will be applicable. The Company is not in the business of Trading in Motor Vehicles.

24 March 2009 I dont think FBT is appicable here,secondly since the VAT is already paid when the company purchased the car, so no question of VAT.
