07 September 2009 I wish to know where surcharge & Education cess on TDS to be made or not?
Or it will be effected from 1.10.09 or 01.04.09 ?

07 September 2009 It is from 19.08.09 (the date on which the finance (no.2) act, 2009 has been assented by the President of India)

07 September 2009 It is effective from 01/04/2009 vide proviso to sections 11 and 12 read with section 2 of The Finance(No 2) Bill,2009.
