can any body tell me that a singer who sings in stage shows and record songs as a play back singer is liable to service tax prior to 1.7.2012. its very urgent friends.

Services by a performing artist in folk or classical art form s of music or dance or theatre, excluding services provided by such artist as a brand ambassador are exempt under mega exemption list. Rest are taxable....
