applicability of service tax on lease payment/ receipts

pl advise as to whether lease payment or receipts are covered under service tax. if yes then what about lease from abroad and under what section.

Operating leases are chargeable to service tax. In case operating lease is taken from a non resident, the the company availing such services in India will have to pay service tax.
