11 January 2013 IS SERVICE TAX IS APPLICABLE ON RENT IF SOMEONE IS REGISTERED UNDER SERVICE TAX AND HAVING PROFESSIONAL INCOME OTHER THEN RENT ABOUT 40 LAKHS.

11 January 2013 Service tax applicable on renting of immovable property. So in case the basic exemption limit of aggregate of Rs. 10.00/- lakhs is crossed then service tax shall be charged.
