Can anyone please tell me if the new Companies Bill is applicable for CA Final May 2014 attempt.... If no than, would it be applicable for Nov 2014 attempt..... Please reply ASAP.... It is very important...
Today companies bill was passed in Rajya Sabha. After this Presidents Assent is needed then notification in official gazzete after which it will become an Act.
In my view its unlikely that Companies Bill will be applicable in May 2014 exams. Though it may just be applicable in Nov 2014 exams But these are all prediction wait for confirmation from ICAI.
1)clarified that the proposed Companies Act, 2013 will not be applicable for the Intermediate (IPC) and Final Examinations to be held in May 2014.
2)Regarding the applicability for November 2014 Examination, the decision will be taken based on the exact date of enactment of the above Companies Bill into the Act.

Yes,,ICAI deleted that announcement because . . one more announcement released which says . . ammendment relating to companies bill may also applicable to MAY2014 exam,,and also said that will confirm in shortly,, . . can confirm from below link
The Scenario isn't clear, the above notification states that Companies Act 2013 would not be applicable in Nov 2013, but applicability on May 2014 still a suspense.. we have to wait and watch for the ICAI step regarding this matter...

ICAI has come out with the notification regarding the partial applicability of Companies Act 2013. 98 Notified section will be applicable for Nov 2014 exams.
The Central Government has notified 98 sections of the Companies Act, 2013 on 12th September, 2013. Accordingly, those 98 notified sections are applicable for November 2014 examinations corresponding to their bifurcation into the Intermediate (IPC) and Final Course(s), i.e. from these 98 sections, 53 sections have been included in the Paper – 2,Business Laws, Ethics and Communication, Intermediate (IPC)Course, and 45 have been included in the Paper- 4, Corporate and Allied Laws, Final Course.
