Dear Sir,
I want to know whether a company who is in the field of emboidery business is chargeable to Excise duty? the company is a listed company and is also in the production of FDY.

Wef 1st apl'2011, company engaged in field of embrodiery, used in readymade garments shall be subject to Excise duty @10% with abatement of 55% on value of garments.

The company has its one plant as 100% EOU. The other plants are not. Still it will be chargeable?
