Applicability of excise

My Client had just started to trade its branded products manufactured by him. The retail price per product will be less then rs. 1000/-. Now is he is liable to get it concern registered with Excise and pay the duty. if yes then at what rate. And also if he is trading some of it goods then is excise is applicable on it.

for manufacturing excise you have to tell goods name , for trading its not required if you want to issue trading excise bill then you have to take the excise number.
