My client cooks food from the raw materials provided by their customer on job work basis...
Is service tax applicable to him...??

I know that service tax is applicable on outdoor caterers but his work is not at all similar to outdoor caterers...

yes any kind of service is taxable now, it will be taxable if taxable value of service in financial year exceeds 10lacs under category 'other than negative list'
the same is not similar to outdoor catering hence better to opt for above said option.
