An assessee transfer his SBI bank account from Ranchi to Jamshedpur City resulting his account number changed. Now he get Income Tax refund on old bank Account number.

You can write a letter (along with the copy of acknowledgement of the tax return) to the concerned Income Tax Assessing Officer.

You should give prooof of your new bank account (photo copy of bank pass book/statement) togetherwith the letter.
After receiving the letter togetherwith refund voucher; the ITO will make correction in the bank account duly signed and reurn to you.
You have to approach clerks working under the ITO for the job get done.
