29 October 2011 if the new co(amalgamated co) declares dividend immediately before amalgamation, then is it correct to assume that such dividend would have been paid before the formal proceedings of amalgamation takes place?in case it is true then can i put the deficit cash balance in bank overdraft while calculating intrinsic value?

29 October 2011 plz be clear about ur query, u want to ask question like what how can a new company declares dividend before it comes into existence, after amalgation only it can declare dividend, before amalgamation, how it can have profits to declare the dividends

29 October 2011 if amalgamtion is taking place with an existing compny, i.e. amalgamtionis in the nature of absorption
assuming that it would have been paid will b wrong assumption
