14 August 2012 If in 2nd installment i have a shortfall than 234c is attracted bt if in 3rd installment i have paid excess of advance tax than can i get interest credit ....please suggest with relevant section or links of income tax

14 August 2012 no u cannot. if second installment is not paid properly interest needs to be paid for that installment irrespective of the fact that you have paid the 3rd installment on time and also excess 3rd installment have been paid
