i purchase good from m/s xyz for rs 1000 and he supply shortage good to me rs 800 how i debit the balance of m/s xyz at tally and under which head i show show shortage purchase in tally

16 January 2017 Credit the Purchases and Debit the Party. If you have taken the Input Credit and credit the Input credit account also.
Dr. Party Account
Cr. Purchase Account
Cr. Input VAT credit Account
( The goods short received and therefore debited the party and also adjusted the INput credit accordingly)
