Additional Duty

03 December 2010 I would like to know that if we get the 4% of Additional duty on purchases on as such basis and again we sold the same as as such basis, we have to forward transfer the same additional duty to our customer or not

06 December 2010 If you are registered as trader in the central excise, then you can pass on the 4% Addl duty to the buyers and they can take cenvat credit f used in the manufacturing of excisable goods.

Second option is to take refund of 4% SAD from the customs, if your buyers are not able to take cenvat credit.
