In case of a private Company, whether it is necessary to appoint a person as Additional Director in Board Meeting before appointing him as Director. Can he be appointed directly as Director in the Board Meeting without being first appointed as Director?

yes you have to appoint him as a additional director first and in next agm you can appoint him as a director ofthe company.
