can Additional depreciation be claimed if asset was acquired prior to 01.04.05 but put to use after 01.04.05?can u give me the reference of any circular or judgement relating to it?

Additional depreciation can be claim if any new machinery or plant (excluding ships and aircrafts) acquired and installed after March 31, 2005

Look out the installation date also.

the condition is acquired and installed after March 31, 2005. The word "and" says that both should happen on or after 31st March 2005.
So you can not claim the additional depreciation.
