26 August 2013 Its not mandatory. Its allowable. Whether to claim it or not it is in the hands of assessee.

Since additional depreciation under subsection (iia)falls under subsection(1),,So explanation 5 also applicable to Subsection (iia)which Means additional depreciation mandatory
