You can claim an additional deduction of up to £25,000 under Section 80D for medical insurance paid for your parents, provided they are under 60 years old and the payment is made via banking channels. To ensure this deduction is reflected correctly, you should claim it using Form 12BB with your employer. Alternatively, you can claim it when filing your Income Tax Return (ITR), though this may sometimes lead to queries from the Income Tax Department.
