16 February 2010 service tax on rent(rent paid to a transporter agency for broughting raw material where production occure)...
this service tax on rent is a indirect exp. or direct exp. according to accounting point view.....?

17 February 2010 This is direct Expenses since it is incurred from bringing the raw material at the place of production.

17 February 2010 Yes, even service tax is related to the cost incurred for bringing raw material.

My view is..it is Direct Expenses.

21 February 2010 agree . it is direct expenses. charged total rent paid(including service tax) as fright
