28 October 2010 Some please tell me a partnership firm which deed has been expired. Now for deduction of tds new tan no.is required .my question is that in the tan form wt shud be write . Individiual name with the firm name or only name of the owner. Old tan no. Will be write.

02 January 2011 You can find your answer by reading carefully the following-

The partnership Firm has been dissolved.
One of the partner is carrying on the old business in his own name so it is now a proprietorship concern.

This is the first year of the new business.

In case your turnover exceeds60.00lacs
in this year you would have to get the accounts audited and apply for TDS in the Next FY 2011-12.
Right now you need not to apply for TAN No.

TAN Nos. allotted in the name of the proprietor can be used by the
proprietorship concern.

If facts are as stated above then Ok
Please resubmit the query if the situation is different.
