24 December 2008 is there any difference between ACA and FCA considering Audit point of view? DOes ACA in practice have any restrictions for conducting any audit? or Else ACA and FCA are at par and has same status?

24 December 2008 There is no difference as such in respect to the scope of audit is concerned.

24 December 2008 ACA and FCA are not at par,for limited purpose,especially in the case of allotment of Bank and public sector company audits.

24 December 2008 Sir thanks for the reply. Can ACA (Sole Proprietor) undertake VAT Audit assignments (in particular Maharashtra VAT Audit Assignment) of a Public Limited Company. The Company was earlier a PVT Ltd. co. and now the status is changed to Public Limited Company. DOes that make any difference for Auditor. Sir Your earlier reply says Public Secto company ...does that include all public limited company?

24 December 2008 I mean public sector company audits allotted by C&AG on our submission of Multi Purpose Empanelment Form.
