01 October 2007 What do you mean by KPO and AMC and what is the differenc btw them? If suppose one ca do articleship in such org. then what beifits/ill effects will be there for the interns? in other words, what will the difference btw doin articleship there or doin in CA firms?

03 October 2007 As per my knowledge KPO is knowledge process outsourcing industry where You require domain and spectialized knowledge in a particular area to solve you client queries whereas AMC stands for asset Management Company which manages the funds of mutual fund.Both of these Industry Are booming and offers lot of good opportunities to grow.In my view one should Start his articleship in a CA firm and not in these companies because during our learning stage it is better not to limit our knowledge in a particular field & industry.If you dont know how to prepare a balance sheet then how can u analyse it while working in an AMC and find out Kew business concern & window dressing. U can think of joining these sunrise sectors during your industrial training or after completing your CA.
