i am not know about service tax, please tell me about service tax compution how i am prepared service tax compution detail for filing S.T return, and any person he want to file first time service tax return then how follow the step . please tel me about what is the important document to ragister in service tax department.

And what is st-1,st2,st3

please tel me by step,

30 August 2012 For full details you should go through ST Rules, Cenvat Credit Rules and relevant sections of Finance Act.

But for Filing of Return what you need is the challans and the details on the basis of which the ST amt was paid.

ST-1 is for Application for ST Regn.
ST-2 is for Certificate of Regn.
ST-3 is for Return of Service Tax.

31 August 2012 I agree with the expert. Before taking RC, please go thro the new negative list, mega notn and other notn etc., to see whether your output service is in that exempted list and then proceed. But for taxable service, other than in the negative list 10 lacs exemption (accrual basis) is available for all categories.
